Develop and articulate solutions to complex client automation problems, oversee project execution at a high level providing conceptual and technical expertise, develop and maintain client relationships and provide mentorship, coaching and leadership to team members. Provide superior client experiences partnering with the internal team to cohesively deliver a vision, energy, and intensity that exceeds client expectations. Technically, the Controls Specialist will partner with project team leads in: Electrical design; DCS/PLC/HMI programming; System Architecture design; System Virtualization; and Startup and commissioning and testing systems at our build facility. Exercise Project Management skills by developing project schedules and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal project management resources, ensuring completion of all project deliverables to the satisfaction of the client while fostering a culture of safety. Provide specific technical expertise and guidance in the development of employee skills, acting as a mentor and coach for junior employees as a cohesive team player. Participate in planning sessions with the Branch and Business Development Manager that will identify opportunities for new proposals, drafting of proposals, and explain/negotiate proposals with clients as well as partake in client meetings to help solidify JMP’s position and increase client confidence in the JMP team. Interface with customers and offer strong technical expertise and advisement as part of the project team

  • Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or foreign educational equivalent. Two years of experience in the position offered, or in a similar position, such as Electrical and Controls Engineer. Experience must include Allen Bradley PLC’s and programming software’s RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000 & FT View and identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and designing HMI and control network components
