Meet the JMP Leadship Team

Responsibilities

In my current role of President, I’m responsible for developing a corporate vision, leading strategic planning, directing company operations, managing business development, and interfacing with Finance and Human Resources. I’m passionate about leading our vision to be a leading global automation company.

Background

I grew up in Barrie, Ontario and spent most of my childhood playing hockey and other sports. I completed my Bachelor of Applied Science, Computer Engineering from Queen’s University and maintain my Professional Engineer designation in Ontario. After a summer off to bike across Canada, I landed a job as a Controls Engineer with what I learned to be a highly driven, friendly bunch of people at JMP Engineering. I’ve since moved through many roles at JMP including Project Manager, Burlington Branch Manager, Cambridge Branch Manger, National Account Manager, Director of Sales for the Controls Division, and Vice President of Sales. I also had the opportunity to open our Lexington, Kentucky office, and start the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) Division.

Personal

My wife and I spend most of our personal time chasing around our three young children. We enjoy time at the cottage in the summer and skiing in the winter, along with many other activities and games. I’ve always loved endurance sports and spent the summer of 2002 on a 8,000km biking trek across Canada. These days I stay active in Crossfit in the winter and triathlons in the summer, with the eventual goal of completing a full Ironman distance triathlon.
