In my role as Vice President, Human Resources I am responsible for ensuring JMP’s people strategy is aligned to support JMP’s growth objectives. I am a spokesperson and advocate for JMP within the industry to promote and represent the company’s vision and values.
Partnered with a dynamic executive and leadership team I collaborate daily to build and develop strong HR programs in the areas of talent management, learning and development, recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, organizational development, workforce planning, HR operations & total rewards.
I have over 20 years of global business and HR expertise and have spent time in varied industries including; Financial Services, Banking, Information Technology, Computer Hardware, Healthcare, Grocery, Retail and Pharmaceutical.
I took Human Resources studies at Conestoga College, and then started my HR Career with Zehrs Markets, Loblaw Companies Ltd. where I had the fortune of building a foundation in all facets of HR in a demanding, fast paced, highly customer service oriented business. Navigating on to a much larger more complex global organization, at Manulife Financial, I spent time in both hands-on operational/tactical roles as well as built, developed and managed strategic programs in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Global Mobility. I since have had the opportunity to spend time with two smaller companies in new and different industries, (Computer Hardware, Healthcare) as an HR Business Partner and member of senior leadership teams, where I was focused on employee engagement, learning & leadership development, talent acquisition, performance management, rewards and overall HR operations in their respective rapidly growing and/or changing environments.
Personally and professionally, I have a quest to learn, stretch, explore and thrive in a fast pace where I can make a significant impact. Giving back and leaving a footprint for the future is something I value, which is why JMP is such a great place to be!
