In my current role of President & Chief Executive Officer, I’m responsible for developing a corporate vision, leading strategic planning, directing company operations, managing business development, and interfacing with Finance and Human Resources. My overarching leadership strategy has helped JMP diversify the markets it serves, launch multiple new lines of business and achieve double-digit growth year over year through organic and acquisition-based initiatives.
I am fortunate to have joined JMP Engineering when I did, building a career that began in 1996 as a Technical Specialist in Motion Control and working my way to the role of President in 2001. In 2003, I joined the Young Presidents’ Organization, and in 2005 I became JMP’s sole shareholder.
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and I’m a member of Professional Engineers of Ontario. Involvement in local groups, including the London Regional Children’s Museum and the London Health Sciences Centre, affords me the opportunity to give back to our community as I participate on various boards and committees.
I share the vast majority of my personal time with my family, but also enjoy activities that are engaging and challenging. In 2006, I completed an 8-day trek to the North Pole on a journey that raised $500,000 for charities. Other interests include sailing, skiing, triathlon, kitesurfing, and freediving, as well as social activities like cooking for family and friends.
